As I’m sure you’re aware of, some stronger storms will be possible on Friday afternoon and evening. This is in association with an upper level trough that brought severe weather to the plain states on Thursday. Here are Thursday’s severe weather reports valid at 8:50 PM Thursday evening:
Severe weather in the plains during this time of year is pretty common. Our weather pattern is pretty active due to the meridional flow in the jet stream at this time. This pattern is conducive for severe weather in the plains as temperatures continue to warm.
Some severe weather struck north central California. Severe weather is not so common in the west coast region of the United States.
