Warm and Breezy Finish to the Weekend

The chilly and often cloudy weather of the last couple of days is going to get a rather abrupt makeover as an advancing weather system will usher in a warm and breezy finish to the weekend.

Hellooooooo, Sunshine!

When we last met two days ago, Sunday was looking like another dreary, rainy day. Well…

The storm system that was going to bring us more showery weather is going to miss us to the northeast, at that means dry weather and warming temperatures.

And these toasty temperatures will be courtesy of some brisk gusts. In fact, a Wind Advisory has been issued for portions of the area for this afternoon.

Even in areas, not under the advisory, expect wind gusts in the 35 MPH range through the afternoon. On the flip side, temperatures look to hover around 70º under partly sunny skies, so it’s not all bad. Overnight, the winds should calm down somewhat and we’ll drop to a chilly low near 40º.

Cooler but Still Nice for Monday

Not a whole lot of change for the day on Monday, except calmer winds and slightly cooler temperatures on the back side of the cold front.

West winds should be lighter and thus, we won’t warm up nearly as much, only to around 65º, even with more mostly sunny skies around the region. Overnight lows should fall to around 45º as we await our next weathermaker.

Toastier Tuesday

Mother Nature cranks the thermostat back up for Tuesday ahead of a storm system headed our way for Halloween.

We’ll bring the gusty winds back as warm air flowing from the southwest, combined with mostly sunny skies, will warm us to near 75º in the afternoon.

Changes begin in the evening as clouds increase into the nighttime hours, with a shot at a shower or two close to daybreak Wednesday. Lows only fall to near 60º.

Unfortunately, this is setting up for a rather soggy Halloween for the trick-or-treaters, with waves of rain looking to make their way through the region during the day on Wednesday. Though, as we’ve seen throughout this very week, things can change in a hurry, so make sure you check back for further details.
