Today will be nice and warm across the region. Temperatures as of 7 AM are already in the low 40s, some 6 degrees above what models thought it would be. Thus, I’ll go a bit higher on afternoon temperatures. I think we’ll top out around 52° under mostly cloudy skies and southerly winds between 5 and 15 mph.
Patchy fog will likely develop overnight underneath mostly cloudy skies. Some patches of drizzle or light rain may be possible from time to time. Lows will likely drop to around 43°. I wish it were the kind of drizzle found below:
Really Warm Sunday
Temperatures really get warm on Sunday. South winds will still be cranking around 5 to 15 mph under mostly cloudy skies. This will continue to advect slightly warmer temperatures in the region. We should top out around 58°. If we can lose some of the clouds, we may take a run at 60°!
Southerly winds may increase some on Sunday night as a cold front moves closer to the region. Southerly winds will increase to 10 to 20 mph. Mostly cloudy skies and southerly flow keep us mild overnight and in the upper 40s.
Rainy Monday
A wet day is forecast on Monday. A line of showers with embedded thunderstorms will move into the region during the morning hours. Then rain should linger around for most of the day. Wind will be breezy as the front moves through the area; gusting up to 30 mph. Highs will top out in the upper 50s.
A few showers may continue Monday night. We’ll be stuck with mostly cloudy skies and a low in the mid 30s.
That should wrap up this forecast. Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out our live twitter feed at @wxornotBG and Landon Hampton on Facebook for the latest Bowling Green weather information. Have a great day!
