Summer Continues to Ruin Fall’s Welcome

The Headline

Happy Fall y’all! But you probably noticed, it doesn’t really feel like fall at all…

When you walk outside expecting it to be like fall but it’s not

That’s right, the summer-like heat and humidity is here to stay at least through this weekend and into early portions of next week.

The Discussion

This past week has felt much more like late July rather than late September! A strong ridge of high pressure has continued to keep things quiet and clear on our end will persist over the next couple of days. To put it simply, the forecast ahead looks quiet, boring, and hot.

The summer-like trend will (unfortunately) continue today with our highs topping out near 90 degrees! Factor in that sunshine and the mugginess and were talking about heat indices in the mid to upper 90s.

With that being said it’s game day on The Hill! If you’re going to pack the Houch, it’s a good idea to drink plenty of water and fluids, and definitely want to pack the sunglasses so you’re able to see the Tops totally crush Ball State 😎

Tomorrow = more of the same in terms of heat, humidity and sunshine. By the afternoon hours, we could see a very isolated chance for a pop up shower or thunderstorm but it won’t be a total washout by any means.

And for Monday? Yup you guessed it, more of the same heat and humidity. Looking ahead towards late portions of next week, the potential for a major cool down is on the way. We’ll keep our fingers crossed!
