Forecast Discussion

So, pretty much the only thing you need to worry about is the small chance of isolated showers tonight. Other than that, some nice weather is in store for the region! You know what that means… a .gif only forecast!

Don’t get overly excited about the rain chances either. After a nice day today, with highs in the low 60s across most of the region, clouds will increase in the afternoon and evening hours. This is due to a trough moving into and to the south of the region. A few isolated showers may be possible overnight, but these showers shouldn’t amount to much.

All showers should be moving out of the region by the morning hours tomorrow, so perhaps a light sprinkle will be possible early. Other than that, convergence will spread over the region, leading to surface high pressure. Temperatures will rise into the mid 60s. Temperatures should be able to drop into the low 40s overnight due to mostly clear skies.

A big ol’ ridge is expected to move back into the region on Wednesday. This will allow the weather to once again be very nice. Expected temperatures to run into the mid to upper 60s under sunny skies. Temperatures will dip back down into the 40s overnight. I feel like we’re beginning to sound like a broken record…

Extended Outlook

The ridge will stay in place on Thursday leading to nice conditions once again. A strong trough will begin to move into the region on Friday, leading to widespread southerly flow across the region. This will lead to warming temperatures and a chance of some showers and thunderstorms as we move into the weekend. Great, warm weather again…I just want the fall weather to stick around.

That should wrap up this forecast. Be sure to follow @WxOrNotBG and @WKUweather for the latest Bowling Green weather information. Have a great day!
