Discussion
Holy wow! Do you see that forecast!?
Interesting things! I can’t even express how excited I am for an interesting forecast, but also for a much, much cooler forecast. I mean, I think that my highs could be a bit higher than what they’ll end up being.
Before that, we gotta get through today. Today should be like most other days this week, in which it is just boring, hot and sunny. The ridge sees its final day of dominance today, as a major low pressure system is forecast to begin affecting us tomorrow.
Highs today will end up in the upper 80s and lower 90s across the region. As we head into the overnight hours, anticipate increasing clouds, with lows falling into the mid 60s. Tomorrow is the cool down day!
The deep trough of low pressure will be digging into the eastern US, and will be completely changing the pattern across the region. As this occurs tomorrow, a cold front will be pushing into and through the region, ushering in the cooler weather. Along this front, anticipate a band of breezy showers that should move through pretty quickly.
The majority of the day will be cloudy, with slightly breezy, northwesterly winds. Highs should end up around in the lower 70s. Overnight, look for gradually clearing skies, with lows in the upper 40s.
On Tuesday, arguably the most incredible weather since the spring will be ushered in. I mean, it is gonna be niiiiiiice. Skies will be mostly sunny, with highs in the lower 70s. This is in response to the deep trough that will set up across the region, an slowly move eastward, and then southward.
Overnight, look for mostly clear skies, with lows in the upper 40s.
Extended Outlook
This week is gonna be interesting, because there are a couple of fields of thought. Some of the guidance is pointing towards the cut off low dipping down towards us by Wednesday/Thursday, and then quickly moving away. The other side of the guidance cuts the mid level low off completely, and rotates it into our region, and doesn’t push it out until next weekend. I think a mixture of those solutions is best to roll with. Either way, this week is gonna be so much nicer.
