Forecast Discussion

I’m not going to lie, this might be the best forecast period ever. I mean, like, ever. As of this writing a cold front is moving across Bowling Green. This cold front will knock back temperatures for quite some time! Fall hath finally arrived!

Showers will move into the region during the late morning hours and linger into the afternoon hours. However, high pressure will settle into the region this afternoon and evening clearing up conditions. Highs this afternoon will top out around 74°! Due to clear skies overnight, it looks like temperatures may dip into the upper 40s!

High pressure will remain in place across the region on Tuesday. This, combined with continuing height falls from an upper level low to the north of us, will keep us nice and cool. Highs will be around 75° under mostly sunny skies! Clear skies will likely continue overnight until the early morning hours when clouds might begin to develop. Lows will be around 53°.

A jet streak will move into the region on Wednesday. This will provide enough lift across the region to cause some showers during the late morning and early afternoon hours once again. Outside of the showers, partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies can be expected with a high around 75° once again. Conditions should once again clear up overnight with lows around 50°.

Extended Outlook

Conditions look to likely warm back up during next week as a ridge builds across much of the Eastern United States. This will lead to average to above average temperatures (average is around 79° for high temperatures), as well as below average precipitation amounts. However, I think we are completely done with 90° weather days!

That should wrap up this forecast post. Be sure to follow @WxOrNotBG and @WKUweather for the latest Bowling Green weather information. Have a great day!
