Forecast Discussion

Ah hello there fall. This small little taste of you is better than a Pumpkin Spice Latte on a chilly morning. Oh how I wish you would stick around…

The cold front that moved through the region brought some very nice temperatures with it! This morning, we’re seeing temperatures in the 50s and 60s across the region as of this typing. High pressure has settled into the region and will pretty much remain in place.

Tomorrow, an upper level ridge will once again form across the southern United States. This will lead to a rather quick warm-up across the region. However, surface high pressure will remain in place keeping conditions calm. So pretty much like today’s weather again, just a little on the warm side.

I only used this gif because it says “wonderful” and there are fall leaves on the ground…I’m so ready for fall.

The ridge will continue to push any interesting weather to the north of the region where zonal flow is present for a couple of days. Tuesday will be a rinse and repeat forecast of Monday. Once again though temperatures will be a tad warmer.

Extended Outlook

According to the Climate Prediction Center, in the 6-10 day and 8-14 day outlook, temperatures will once again likely be above average. They also note that above average precipitation is possible. However, it should be noted that another cool-down may occur with our next big shot of rain next weekend so stay tuned!

That should wrap up this forecast. Be sure to follow @WxOrNotBG and @WKUweather for the latest Bowling Green weather information. Have a great day!
