Today 3/24 – Scattered rain & thunderstorms (potentially severe) – High 66/Tonight – Mostly cloudy – Low 38
Good Morning, Bowling Green! Severe storms are possible today, so be weather aware! The Storm Prediction Center has placed us under a slight risk of storms meaning conditions are favorable for heavy rain, strong winds, and lightning. These storms are the result of an incoming cold front from the Midwest merging with a low-level jet of warm, moist air coming up from the Gulf.
Temperatures will rise to the mid-60s today thanks to the gusty southerly winds. Scattered showers are expected to begin in the morning hours with the severe storms arriving around midday. Once the front passes, temperatures will begin to drop giving us chilly lows in the upper 30s.
Friday 3/25 – Decreasing clouds -> sunny – High 54/ Friday Night – Clear – Low 36
Clouds will linger Friday morning but an approaching high pressure system will slowly cause clouds to decrease throughout the day. Overall, Friday should be a pleasant day with highs in the mid-50s.
With clear skies, lows will be a bit chillier Friday night but should stay above freezing. Things will start to warm up again on Saturday as winds become more southerly and the high pressure system continues to move eastward.
Saturday 3/26 – Sunny – High 66/Saturday Night – Partly cloudy – Low 47
High pressure will be settled in over the region Saturday making for a beautiful day! Highs will be in the mid-60s with sunny skies. Enjoy this while it lasts because it appears more rain will be in the forecast for Easter Sunday.
Have a great day and continue to follow @WxOrNotBG for more updates!
