Easter Weekend Forecast

Real-time Bowling Green weather radar:

Friday, March 25- Clouds Gradually Clearing – High 52˚ / Tonight – Mostly Clear – Low 36˚

Good morning, Bowling Green! After periods of very heavy rain and strong winds yesterday, our Friday will be much quieter in comparison. Winds shifted to the northwest after the frontal passage Thursday evening, causing much cooler temperatures to filter into the area.

This morning, we’re sitting in the low-40s under cloudy skies. By the afternoon, skies should be gradually clearing so that we may see some sun before the workweek is through. High pressure will continue to build and take the place of yesterday’s low, while bringing cooler and drier air to Bowling Green.

Saturday, March 26 – Mostly Sunny – High 68˚ / Saturday Night – Mostly Clear – Low 48˚

By Saturday morning, winds will have shifted southerly, which will bring warmer temperatures back to the Bowling Green area. Temperatures will soar into the upper-60s, back to the values we were seeing on Thursday.

With sunny skies plentiful and above normal temperatures expected, Saturday looks to be the nicest day of the forecast period! If you have any outdoor weekend plans, Saturday will be your best bet, as showers and storms return for Easter Sunday.

Temperatures will remain in the mid- to upper-40s overnight Saturday as the next system in play progresses from the west.

Easter Sunday, March 27 – Showers & Storms – High 74˚ / Tuesday Night – Showers – Low 45˚

As for Easter Sunday… The weather will not be as nice as many people would like. Moisture from the Gulf will pair with a low pressure center originating out of Texas to provide showers and storms for much of the day, with the southern part of the state being affected first.

Ahead of the deepening low pressure center, temperatures will shoot into the low to mid-70s, so at least the temperatures will be cooperating for Easter dresses!

The Storm Prediction Center has already placed us under a Slight Risk for severe weather Sunday, with damaging winds and hail being the primary threats. The showers and storms moving in from the Gulf during the morning hours may act to lessen the severe threat; however, we will continue to monitor the situation and provide details as we see them!

SPC
SPC Day 3 Outlook

Once the strong front moves through, temperatures will begin to drop for the start of the workweek. Lows Sunday night will fall into the mid-40s, with rain chances continuing through early Monday.
