Real Time Bowling Green Radar:
Today 3/23 – Mostly cloudy & windy – High 68/Tonight – Cloudy; chance of showers – Low 60
Good Morning, Bowling Green! Today will be another warm, windy day across south central Kentucky. Clouds will increase throughout the day as an approaching cold front moves in from the Midwest. A low-level jet of warm air ramping up ahead of the front will give us gusty southerly winds at the surface, keeping temperatures in the upper 60s.
Rain chances will increase late tonight and tomorrow as the frontal boundary passes through. I hope you’re ready for the typical roller coaster spring weather, because this week is exactly that.
Thursday 3/24 – Cloudy with chance of scat’d showers – High 66/ Thursday Night – Mostly cloudy – Low 37
The cold front will continue to make its way eastward on Thursday making things wet and gloomy for BG. Simulated radar shows mainly scattered showers Thursday morning with more organized lines of showers later in the day. Thunderstorms and heavy rain are possible with this system.
Temperatures will begin to drop with the passing of the cold front but they won’t be nearly as cold as what we saw last weekend, thank goodness! Lows will be in the upper 30s Thursday night with an approaching high pressure system decreasing some of the cloud cover overnight.
Friday 3/25 – Sunny – High 57/Friday Night – Partly cloudy – Low 38
Friday will be a perfect spring day with highs in the upper 50s and lots of sunshine thanks to high pressure settling in over the region.
Saturday looks to be just as nice, but another system will be building in the Midwest that will bring rain showers for Easter Sunday. You might have to bring an umbrella to your Easter egg hunt!
Have a great day and continue to follow @WxOrNotBG for more updates!
