Today is gonna be a real crummy day, weather-wise. Its gonna be cloudy, and nasty and just plain awful.
Its a good thing that WKU Football played (AND WON) yesterday. Our weather over the next few days will be driven by several waves of energy that will move into the region, and bring rainfall and cooler temps. A cold front will be aligned to our northwest early on Saturday, forcing some rainfall across the region.
Because of this influx of moisture across the region, clouds will be prevailing across the state for much of the day. As opposed to the past several days, temperatures will remain cooler across the region in response to this. Look for highs to end up in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Additionally, the cold front will move through Saturday evening, ushering in a cooler atmosphere to the region.
Overnight, we will see rainfall continue under cloudy skies, with lows near 49ºF.
Tomorrow: Nasty. Rain showers continuing, with a high near 51ºF. Sun. night: Continually awful. Isolated showers, with a low around 48ºF.
The weather is going to flat out suck tomorrow. Just prepare for it. At least today is gonna be a little bit nice temperature wise, but tomorrow is going to be awful all around.
Expect rounds of cold showers under cloudy skies , with highs only making it into the lower 50s. The rise in temperature will be so minute that many won’t even notice it.
If you have outdoor plans for your Sunday afternoon, cancel them. It will be bad. Similarly, the overnight conditions will be bad. Lows will only drop to 48ºF, with isolated showers.
Monday: Again, bad. Rainfall, with cool temps. Highs around 56ºF. Mon. night: Improvement. Mostly cloudy, with a low of 49ºF.
Mondays. A case of the Mondays. We have all been off since last Tuesday, and because Turkey is still within our blood, the clouds today will make it all the worse.
I just wanna take a nap, but finals week is next week. Dang. With another piece of mid-level energy rotating in, we can expect more rainfall. Temps will improve, into the mid 50s. But conditions generally won’t.
Overall, the weekend is expected to be wet. Here is what the Weather Prediction Center is expecting:
Look for skies to gradually become better lows falling into the upper 40s during the overnight period.
