Today 10/23 – Sunny; increasing clouds– High 80/Tonight – Scat’d showers & storms – Low 60
Good morning, Bowling Green! Depending on how early you get up, you may see some fog in low-lying areas this morning. Things will heat up again today but the warmer weather will be moving out this weekend thanks to a cold front that is on the way. This will bring an end to our sunny streak as rain showers will settle in for most of the weekend.
The scattered showers and storms will likely not arrive until overnight but once it does arrive, it will be slow to leave with chances for showers lasting all the way into Sunday morning.
The cold front will of course bring cooler temperatures to the area and I am definitely ready to say goodbye to the summer-like weather.
Saturday 10/24 – Cloudy; scat’d showers & storms – High 75/Saturday Night – Cloudy; scat’d showers – Low 57
Rain will be off and on Saturday as the slow-moving cold front makes its way across the region. Cloud cover will keep high temperatures in the mid 70s until the front passes.
QPF outlooks show our area picking up almost an inch of rain over the weekend from the front, so you might want to cancel any outdoor plans.
Hey, it’s better than 80-degree weather in late October, right? Maybe.
Sunday 10/25 – Mostly cloudy; chance of scat’d showers – High 66/Sunday Night – Mostly cloudy – Low 56
The rain should move out during the day on Sunday but rain chances remain for the morning. Northerly surface winds will bring in some cooler temperatures, but the high will still be in mid 60s Sunday. Zonal flow in the upper-atmosphere is keeping the colder air up north.
Multiple systems rolling through during the early part of next week might increase our rain chances for Monday-Wednesday, but we’ll be sure to update you on that later. Until next time, stay dry and have a great weekend!
