Updated Bowling Green Seasonal Snowfall Totals

This week’s winter storm dumped 7.2″ of snow in Bowling Green. This was not the first time the city has seen snowfall this season though. Since November 2014, Bowling Green has seen 23.5″ of snow. It is tough to compare this value to seasonal snowfall snow totals since records usually include winter totals from December through February.

If we take a look at how much snowfall Bowling Green has received since the start of 2015, only 0.3″ of snow fell during November and December of 2014. This means that Bowling Green’s running snowfall total for the year of 2015 is 23.2″. This is just 0.4″ shy of the tenth snowiest calendar year which occurred twice in 2010 and 1907.

It is likely that we could see a bit more snow this month and into November and December of this year, meaning Bowling Green is set to crack the top 10 for snowfall received in a calendar year. Not bad for a location that usually averages 8.9″ of snow in a year.
