Real-Time BG Radar:
This Afternoon: Mostly sunny and cold. Temps around 34ºF. Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low of 22ºF.
First of all, Happy Weather Person’s Day to the whole crew of writers we have here!
This is a day of celebration, and I think meteorologists should have a day off. But, because the weather never takes a day off, neither do we.
Anyways, the snowfall last night has given way to a beautiful and sunny day. But looks can be deceiving, as this air mass is really, really cold. Temperatures this afternoon only look to climb into the lower 30s, and that will create some fun walks to class!
The overnight hours will be similar, as clouds will be few and far between. Because of this, look for lows to drop pretty quick into the lower 20s.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high of 44ºF. Fri. night: Partly cloudy, with a low of 34ºF.
Wait, wait, wait. You are telling me we’re gonna have two days in a row of sunshine!?
I’m not totally sure what world we live in at this point. Bowling Green Weather looks to be dominated by the establishment of southwesterly flow across the region as a high pressure at the surface moves to our southeast. This will keep skies mostly clear during the day and even into the night. Highs today will reach the mid 40s, with lows bottoming out in the mid 30s overnight.
Saturday: Incredible, and partly cloudy. Breezy. High of 62ºF. Sat. night: Mostly clear, with a low of 35ºF.
This looks like its gonna be the best day in a long, long time.
With the only sort of cloud cover being high cloud cover across the area, sunshine should be rather abundant. This, coinciding, with deeper southwesterly flow, should shoot temps into the low 60s. If clouds aren’t super thick, I could see us getting into the mid 60s.
Winds also look to be whipping out of the southwest between 10 and 15 mph, and this will also help warm temps a lot. Wind look to slacken overnight, and the higher clouds look to clear out as well. Lows should drop into the mid 30s.
Thats all I have for this afternoon. Make sure to follow @WxOrNotBG and @WarrenCountyWX on twitter for the latest real-time weather updates.
