Wednesday Morning Weather Update

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today 12/3 – Mostly Cloudy – High 48° / Tonight – Partly to Mostly Cloudy – Low 34°

High pressure will be moving into the region as the cold front that has kept us wet moves well to the east of the region. This will help dry up our precipitation chances for today. The cloudy conditions look to hang around though. Highs will struggle to reach 50° under the thick cloud cover.

It looks like we may see some breaks in the clouds during the evening hours. However, the thick clouds may return as moisture creeps into the region from the south. Lows will be around 34°.

Thursday 12/4 – Scattered Showers – High 45° / Thur Night – Showers – Low 45°

Low pressure will form to the southwest of the region on Thursday. This will slowly track north. A warm front will track north with the low pressure allowing some lift to work into the atmosphere. This will cause widespread showers to form throughout much of the day on Thursday. You can expect a high of around 45°. Below is the aforementioned warm front.

We’ll have a bit of a weird weather setup on Thursday night. I expect lows to be about the same as the high temperature for today. The aforementioned warm front will move north during the overnight hours allowing for temperatures to rise. Thus, we could be waking up to temperatures in the upper 40s on Friday morning. Showers are expected to continue as the warm front lifts north.

Friday 12/5 – Scattered Showers – High 57° / Fri Night – Scattered Showers – Low 55°

The warm front looks to stall just to the north of Bowling Green on Friday, allowing for plentiful rain showers to impact the region throughout the day. Temperatures will be a bit warmer after the warm front moves through. You can expect highs in them mid to upper 50s. However, if that warm front sags to the south, we could be stuck in the 40s once more.

Lows won’t drop off too much on Friday night as persistent rain showers and thick cloud cover keep the temperature from dropping. Expect lows in the mid 50s.
