We end the work week on a fairly cool, but sunny note. Surface high pressure will quickly work across the Commonwealth today while bringing a nice autumn day for Bowling Green weather. For the remainder of your afternoon and evening, conditions will be relatively quiet.

The aforementioned high pressure will track towards the Mid-Atlantic tonight allowing our next disturbance to move towards the Ohio Valley. In return, clouds will begin increasing from our west tonight as partly cloudy skies prevail. Temperatures will cool off into the 40’s this evening before bottoming out in the mid 30’s late tonight.

Sat – Partly Cloudy; Pleasant – High 57º / Sat Night – Partly Cloudy; Cold – Low 34º

By the first part of our weekend, we’ll watch another quick hitting front slide through the state as a weak warm front engulfs southern and western Kentucky. Winds will shift from our south through tomorrow afternoon allowing temperatures to warm into the upper 50’s. This will be ideal for any outdoor plans or homecoming festivities you might have.

The front will clear the region by late Saturday night/early Sunday morning as clouds decrease in coverage due to its exit. High pressure will swing up down from the south and eventually overtake our weather by Sunday. Otherwise, look for another calm and cold night as lows drop into the mid 30’s.

Sun– Mostly Sunny; Chilly – High 55º / Sun Night – Partly Cloudy; Cold – Low 36º

The latter part of the weekend will be nice. Another cool and mostly sunny day can be anticipated while high pressure works across the Ohio and Tennessee Valley Region’s from the southwest. Highs will reach the middle 50’s as the unseasonable stretch continues. A few clouds will move in by Sunday night as lows drop into the mid 30’s.

The beginning of the week looks to be the warmest for the next several days. Highs will reach more normal readings as temperatures jump into the low-mid 60’s. However, clouds increase late Monday as our next cold front arrives for Veteran’s Day. Showers will be possible while a cold shot of air arrives by next mid-week. And we’re talking quite cold. Until then, let’s enjoy the weekend!
