As Hurricane Arthur tracks up the east coast, some of the bands of precipitation swirling onshore have prompted a tornado watch in eastern North Carolina.
This watch will last until 1pm CST as storms in the northeast quadrant of Arthur continue to push onshore. The SPC is stating that the potential for scattered small supercells with low-level rotation and possible tornadoes will this afternoon.
There has already been one tornado warning issued on the coast earlier this morning in addition to a couple of marine weather warnings for waterspouts.
