Thursday Morning Update

Real-time radar:

Today – 7/3  Mostly Sunny – High 80º / Tonight – Clear & Calm – Low 59º

6am 62º – 9am 70º – 12pm 75º – 3pm 80º – 6pm 77º

Today’s weather is looking absolutely fantastic. A trough of low pressure is swinging across the region and bring much more comfortable conditions, both from a temperature and moisture standpoint.  High pressure driven, northwest winds will maintain mostly clear skies throughout the day and sunny conditions will make for the perfect day, considering it’s July.

Highs should climb to around 80 today with dewpoints in the upper 50s. Can it get much better than this? Here’s a look at the surface map valid for 1pm today:

Expect clear skies and calm conditions tonight. Lows will drop to around 60 across the region. Time to give that A/C and electric bill a break.

Independence Day – 7/4  Sunny – High 80º / Fireworks – Clear & Calm – Low 58º

Our 4th of July weather forecast can’t get any better in my opinion. Upper level winds are maintaining a trough over our area and high pressure just to our northwest. Expect sunny skies and a high near 80. No fuss, no mess. Happy birthday America.

Friday evening and night are looking great for any outdoor activites. Clear skies and calm winds will make for calm conditions with expected lows in the upper 50s overnight. Get outside with friends and  family and enjoy the weather, watch some fireworks.

Saturday– 7/5  Sunny – High 84º / Saturday Night – Clear & Calm – Low 64º

Our area will begin to warm back up a bit by Saturday as high pressure drifts east and north winds begin to lose strength. Another day of clear skies and great weather is to unfold with highs into the low 80s across the region. Slowly but surely ridging is to build back into the area.

Here’s a look at 300mb analysis showing ridging building in from the west and expected surface temperatures at the same time, 4pm Saturday:
