Looking Back on June

Now that July is upon us, let’s take a look at some of the statistics for June. Here are the numbers the NWS collected at the Bowling Green Airport.

We saw 11 days in the 90s and our highest temperature this month was 94° on both June 19 & June 23 with our lowest temperature of the month coming in at 56° on June 14.

The average high temperature for June was 86.7° with an average low temperature of 69.0°. Our highs were running around 1° above average and our lows were running 3º above average.

We saw 11 days with at least a hundredth of an inch of rain, but those rainy days didn’t seem to add up much with our monthly rainfall total coming in at 1.65″. This is 2.14″ below normal. We sure could use a bit more rain this month.

For more monthly climate statistics, the NWS office in Louisville has compiled a climatological report that can be viewed here.
