Good morning, don’t be surprised if you find yourself singing ‘Here It Goes Again’ over the next few days as daily storm chances are back.

Currently, we are dealing with a stationary front that has made its way down from the north and will serve as our focus for daily thunderstorms over the next few days. Here is a look at this morning’s surface analysis and the stationary front can be seen just north of the state.

We should see this front sag a bit farther south as the day goes on and skies will be partly cloudy for remainder of the day. Temperatures will be able to reach the upper 80s today and by later this afternoon we will see some isolated thunderstorms pop up due to day time heating.

You know the drill with these storms, expect some brief heavy rain, thunder and lightning, with some possible gusty winds. Some storms will be around early tonight, but these will diminish overnight with skies becoming partly cloudy and lows dropping into the lower 60s.

Friday – Partly Cloudy; Sct’d Storms – High 87º / Thu Night – Partly Cloudy; Iso’d Storms – Low 69º

Things look very similar for Friday, with the surface front hanging close by. Things will be a tad bit muggier as southerly winds will keep bringing some more moisture into or area from the Gulf of Mexico. By early Friday afternoon, we will see the routine chances for scattered thunderstorms.

These storms will thrive into the nighttime hours better tomorrow night as a weak upper level shortwave looks to move along the surface front. Regardless, storms will be isolated overnight with mostly cloudy skies otherwise. Temperatures will drop into the upper 60s once again tomorrow night.

Saturday – Partly Cloudy; Sct’d Storms – High 88º / Thu Night – Mostly Cloudy; Sct’d Storms – Low 71º

By Saturday the weekend will be in full swing and unfortunately storm chances will continue to be a thorn in our side for any outdoor plans, especially during the afternoon.

Saturday looks to start off hot and muggy once again with temperatures in the upper 80s under partly cloudy skies. Storms will continue the routine of firing during the early afternoon and by Saturday evening storms could actually have pretty widespread coverage due to another upper level shortwave moving through. This will keep scattered thunderstorms and mostly cloudy skies around overnight, only allowing lows to drop into the lower 70s.

None of these days look to be washouts, we will just be dodging hit or miss thunderstorms each day. Precipitation amounts will hard to predict with some areas seeing little to no rain and some areas seeing heavier amounts in storms.

That’s all I’ve got for this morning. To help dodge the storms, be sure to follow @WxOrNotBG and @WarrenCountyWX on Twitter for real-time weather updates. Have a great day.
