Recent trends continue to suggest the likelihood of us seeing scattered showers & thunderstorms as we progress into the afternoon.

Our atmosphere is a bit capped off at the moment, however, peak heating this afternoon should allow for a cluster of convective activity to fire to our northwest, and eventually progress southeast across the area.

Severe weather is not expected, however, strong winds, heavy rain and small hail will all be possible with any storm that’s able to fire.  Lightning should also be expected.
