We are currently in the middle of two low-pressure systems. The 500 mb chart shows the dry air wrapping over our area and into the system east of us. A little band of moisture is shown over our area at one point, however, today will be on the dry for the most part. You may see some clouds in the sky once the muggy conditions clear up. The temperature will work its way up into the high-80s and winds will be calm. Tonight, the low temperature will dip into the high-60s.

Tuesday

Tomorrow’s forecast will be similar to today’s; sunny and hot. We will still have the dry slot aloft over the Ohio Valley region. The high temperature will be in the high-80s and decrease into the low-70s. Winds will shift from the south as the low-pressure system works its way into western Kentucky which will also start drawing in lots of moisture from the Gulf.

Wednesday

As the low-pressure system draws in moisture, added heat will create a good chance of thunderstorms throughout the day. Temperatures will increase into the high 80s and eventually decrease into the low-70s as the night approaches.
