Conditions will get steadily windier during the afternoon and evening hours. Sustained winds of 5 to 10 mph will be possible throughout the day. However, this northeast wind should increase in the late afternoon and evening to 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph possible. Be sure to anchor down any lawn furniture and trash cans!

Showers will be likely overnight tonight. That will make for a rainy and windy night with lows dipping just below 60°.

Tuesday – Rainy and Windy – High 70° / Tues Night – Showers Likely – Low 59°

A couple waves of rain will be possible on Tuesday. Early morning rains may give way to a break in the late morning. However, I expect the radar to fill back in during the lunch and afternoon hours. Wind conditions will remain the same with a breezy northeast wind around 15-25 mph. Highs will top out around 70°, making for a pretty raw day.

By Tuesday night, the heaviest rain totals will have fallen as more sporadic and lighter rain is expected to begin. The center of low pressure will move to the east of the region, leading to southerly winds around 5 to 10 mph. Lows will drop to around 59° once again. Accumulated rain totals to this point will be around 1.25 – 1.5″

Wednesday – Showers Likely – High 64° / Wed Night – Showers Early – Low 58°

Light, sporadic showers will be likely throughout the day on Wednesday as the remnants of Irma begin to lift to the northeast and out of the region. This will lead to an afternoon cool northwest flow and cloudy skies, which will put a damper on high temperatures. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s.
