A Nice Break From The Rain

Today 4/28 – Decreasing clouds -> Partly sunny – High 82/Tonight – Clear – Low 58

Good Morning, Bowling Green! If you weren’t fond of the storms yesterday, you’ll be happy to know that we will have nice weather over the next couple days. The closed low in the upper levels will continue lifting out of the region today and upper-level ridging will build up behind it. This will give us higher pressure at the surface and will decrease clouds throughout the day.

Surface temperature and winds valid 1pm Thursday (Pivotal Weather)

Highs will stay in the 80s today thanks to southwest winds. Winds will become more westerly later in the day. The great weather will continue into Friday!

Friday 4/29 – Sunny – High 80/ Friday Night – Increasing clouds & scat’d showers – Low 60

With the upper-level ridging and surface high pressure, Friday will be absolutely gorgeous. Expect highs to be near 80º under sunny skies.

Upper-level ridging at 300mb valid 4pm Friday (Pivotal Weather)

Rain chances will return Friday night as yet another closed low system moves closer to our area. There is a slight chance of showers overnight with more rain chances in store for Saturday.

Saturday 4/30 – Rain showers & thunderstorms – High 72/Saturday Night – Rain showers & thunderstorms – Low 60

Rain will return for Saturday thanks to the closed upper-level low moving through the region. Isolated thunderstorms are possible with this system, similar to what we saw yesterday. High temperatures will struggle to make it out of the low 70s.

Second closed low approaching valid 4pm Saturday (Pivotal Weather)

Expect the rain showers to continue through the night Saturday and into Sunday. It seems as if we will have a very rollercoaster-ish weather pattern for the foreseeable future that may give you weather whiplash.

Hang in there – it’s almost Friday!
