Good Morning, Bowling Green! Enjoy this nice weather today because rain is in the forecast for much of the weekend. Upper-level ridging and surface high pressure will continue moving eastward keeping skies sunny and highs in the upper 70s.

Clouds will begin to increase overnight as an upper-level low pressure system gets closer to our area. This will bring heavy rain showers and possible thunderstorms to Bowling Green tomorrow. Prepare yourself for a soggy Saturday.

Saturday 4/30 – Cloudy; scat’d showers & storms – High 82/ Saturday Night – Scat’d showers & storms – Low 64

Highs will make it into the low-80s Saturday with winds shifting to southwest during the day. The upper-level low pressure system will move closer to the area, providing enough instability for heavy rain showers and isolated thunderstorms starting in the early morning hours and lasting for most of the day.

I hope you don’t have any outdoor activities planned for Saturday because it may possibly be a wash-out. Rain showers will start to taper off overnight but an approaching cold front will give us more chances for isolated showers and storms on Sunday. Gotta love all this rain, right?

At least we won’t see much heavy rain on Sunday, except with possible isolated thunderstorms moving in before the cold front. Models suggest the cold front will pass through in the afternoon hours and temperatures will start dropping afterward. Chances for light scattered showers remain for Sunday night with cooler temperatures and sunshine in store for Monday.
