Crazy Weather To Continue

Real-Time BG Radar:

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high of 65°F. Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy, with a chance of showers late. Lows around 49°F

The pattern that we have been apart of recently has been really wild, and really active. Just looks at the wind gusts across the region yesterday!

This is all crazy. The same pattern looks to continue to dominate the country as shortwaves roll on through the eastern half of the country. Today, at least during the day, looks fantastic. We’ll be under the influence of another low moving across the Great Lakes region, placing us within warm southwesterly flow during the day.

This will act to up the temperatures above the model guidance by 4 or 5 degrees (in my opinion), and will give us a wonderful Sunday afternoon, with temps in the low to mid 60s. Overnight, the cold front will approach, but may not have the steam to fire off consistent showers across the region.

However, there could still be some showers moving into the region under mostly cloudy skies. Temps will fall into the upper 40s.

Monday: Really nice, with partly cloudy skies and a high of 66°F. Mon. night: Cooler, but clear. Lows around 31ºF.

Ahh, the radical day. It will be warm during the day, and quite cold that night.

The cold front mentioned during today’s forecast will final pass through by Monday night, dropping temps fairly far. Before that, though, we will likely see our temperatures rise up into the mid 60s during the day under partly cloudy skies.

Overnight, we will see temps plummet. Make sure to cover any plants that you have planted, because temperatures will likely fall to around 31°F, giving us a frost threat.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, and cool. Highs around 54°F. Tues. night: Increasing clouds, with a low of 46°F.

Well, the wild and quick weather pattern will continue into Tuesday. During the day, it will be mostly sunny under the influence of a surface high pressure system. Temps will be lower, though, only ending up in the mid 50s.

Overnight, another low pressure system will approach the region, but I think the timing will be a bit later than the models are showing, and thus the precip should hold off. Though, we’ll be in the warm sector all night, keeping overnight lows elevated into the mid 40s.
