Roller Coaster Ride of Bowling Green Weather

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today 4/4 – Partly Cloudy PM; Warmer – High 71 / Tonight – Mostly Clear – Low 34

Low pressure is located well to the northeast of the region today. However, this is draping a cold front from east to west north of the region. Southerly surface winds will exist ahead of the front. The cold front will move through during the afternoon hours causing a few clouds to form. However, highs will still be able to reach around 70 this afternoon.

Lows tonight will make a run at freezing. However, I think we’ll be a tad too warm for that. Some patchy frost will still be possible late tonight.

Tuesday 4/5 – Frosty AM; Mostly Sunny – High 55 / Tues Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 44

High pressure to the north of the region will create some slight northerly winds during the morning hours. However, I still think patchy frost will be likely across the region. Overall, a much cooler day is on tap for Tuesday despite mostly sunny skies. Highs will be in the mid 50s.

Upper level divergence will lead to the development of some showers and thunderstorms along a cold front moving close to the region during the afternoon and evening. Some thunderstorms could be strong with some small hail being the main threat. As of now the Storm Prediction Center has outlined areas to the south of us in a marginal risk of severe weather.
