Saturday – Mostly Sunny; Warm – High 84º / Sat. Night – Partly Cloudy; Cooler – Low 64º

High pressure off to our north and east will help keep a southerly wind flow across the region for Saturday. This will pull warmer gulf air into the region, allowing temperatures to warm into the mid 80’s and moisture to increase overnight Saturday into Sunday. However, skies will remain mostly sunny Saturday.

Sunday – 50% Chance Thunderstorms – High 82º / Sun. Night – Slight Chance Thunderstorms – Low 56º

A cold front will pass through the region overnight Saturday into early Sunday. This will bring a chance for rain with it. The best chance for any precipitation will occur during the afternoon as marginal instability will be in place. The NAM puts moderate instability in our region, but the GFS seems to think there will not be much instability to work with at all.

The upper air seems to suggest any decent storms that fire will be to our north and east. However, the risk for severe weather does exist on Sunday. If the instability values from the NAM stay consistent over the next couple of days, a day 2 slight risk from the Storm Prediction Center would not be at all surprising.

And that about does it for today. Be sure to stay up to date with all your real time Bowling Green weather info @WxOrNotBG and @WarrenCountyWX on twitter. Have a great day!
