Saturday Weather Update

Real time radars:

Looking outside right now may be a bit depressing as we are still under a thick layer of stratus all across the region and temperatures are definitely not what we would like to feel for a May 17th weekend. A trough of low pressure and upper level low are trying to work their way out of the area, and until they do so our weather will not be all that impressive.

However, current visible satellite imagery suggest this area of overcast will clear in the coming hours allowing for some refreshing sunshine to help boost our spirits this afternoon. That’s some good news! The more sun the better, and the warmer it will be this afternoon. But don’t be surprised to see a sprinkle here and there until this cloud cover and upper level disturbance to find its way out of our area. Not exactly pool weather is it?

This Afternoon – Mostly Cloudy;  – High 64º / Tonight – Partly Cloudy; Chilly– Low 43º

12pm 58º – 3pm 63º – 6pm 61º –9pm 55º – 12am 49º – 3am 45º

Tomorrow will be an improvement over today, our Sunday forecast looks pretty darn good if you ask me. Still not as warm as we would all like to see but with the presence of more sunshine and the upper low departing the area, our weather will be much more enjoyable and favorable for outdoor activities. Cloud cover shouldn’t be as much of a problem throughout the day, so get outside and enjoy! You will need a jacket if you’re out early though as temps will be chilly and in the low 40’s starting out with cloud cover improving and clearing throughout the morning.

Expect a little breeze to develop throughout late morning and afternoon hours as temperatures quickly rebound. Precipitation is not forecast as high pressure will do its job well. A high of around 70 degrees is expected and I couldn’t be happier to hear that myself! A very nice day all around.

Sunday – Sunny; – High 70º / Sunday Night – Clear; Chilly – Low 45º

Looks like the coming days will continue to show an improvement with warming temperatures and more typical weather for May. 80’s will be back in the picture by Tuesday and no significant threat of precipitation until later into the work week. I love to deliver good news.
