Dayton Flyers celebrate another upset win. h/t nymag.com

Cold temperatures & a chance of snow will have us all on upset alert this week!! #MarchMadness

Today 3/23 – AM Clouds, Partly Sunny – High 50˚ / Tonight – Clear & Cold– Low 25˚

9am 43˚ ~ 12pm 47˚ ~ 3pm 49˚ ~ 6pm 44˚ ~ 9pm 35˚

Most of the showers last night stayed along and south of the TN border but many of us do at least have cloud cover around this morning. There could even be a few isolated sprinkles/flurries this AM. Yep… chilly as well with temps only in the upper 30s to near 40.

Skies should begin to clear around mid-morning though and after noon we should see generally partly to at times even mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will do there best to warm into the upper 40s to near 50 today. A cold area of high pressure has settled into the Ohio Valley thus keeping things cool…. what a downer!

WPC surface forecast for today indicates are area of high pressure settling in across the Ohio Valley; this will keep chilly temperatures around but also mostly sunny skies.

High pressure, clear skies, and light winds mean temperatures will take a tumble into the mid 20s by Monday morning. Bundle Up!

Mon – Sunny – High 51˚ / Mon Night – Iso’d Rain & Snow Showers – Low 31˚

High pressure will bring about sunny skies on Monday. Don’t be deceived however, temperatures will struggle to make it into the low 50s.

Overnight, a clipper system will pass through the Ohio Valley bringing with it some scattered areas of precipitation primarily to our north. However, there could be at least a few light rain and snow showers overnight which could linger in the area into Tuesday morning. No accumulation is expected.

No kidding… there could be snow flakes flying Monday night.

Tues – Mostly Cloudy & Breezy, Flurries – High 43˚ / Tues Night – Mostly Clear & Cold – Low 20˚

A large trough will keep an upper-level disturbance in the Ohio Valley through much of the day Tuesday. There could be a few snow showers or flurries but overall it should just be mostly cloudy to cloudy. It’s not gonna be a warm one out thanks to brisk northwest winds and cloudy skies. Highs will only manage to reach the low 40s.

Skies should clear out overnight and thus temperatures will take a nose dive, falling to near 20 by Wednesday morning. Brrr! Believe me… I am not happy about this either.

To leave you on an encouraging note: a warming trend appears slated for the end of the week into next weekend.

That’s all I’ve got folks. Hang in there… I’m certain Spring will arrive to stay at some point. Get the latest from @WxOrNotBG and @WarrenCountyWx on twitter. Have a great day and thanks for reading.
