Another dose of Winter

Today 3/24 – Sunny & Mild – High 50˚ / Tonight – Scat’d Rain & Snow Showers – Low 31˚

6am 26˚ ~ 9am 32˚ ~ 12pm 43˚ ~ 3pm 49˚ ~ 6pm 47˚ ~ 9pm 39˚

Turn on the seat warmers for the morning commute.  Temps will be in the 20s for a few more hours.  Not really much to discuss through the early part of the day.  Partly to mostly sunny skies will join high temperatures around 50˚.  It should be rather similar to what we experienced yesterday, without the wind.

Tonight, an upper level disturbance will pass over the area, creating the potential for scattered rain and snow showers, as temps tumble into the lower 30s.  The NAM simulated radar favors this, valid for 1am early Tuesday morning:

Areas of precip should be hit & miss, with no accumulation expected.  Those along the Ohio River may see a little something, but it won’t be serious.  In other words… stay more composed than this guy.  He was probably too focused on the milk & bread.

Tue – Sca’t Snow Showers, BREEZY – High 41˚ / Tue Night – Clear – Low 20˚

A few weak disturbances will dive southeast across the Ohio Valley on Tuesday, which will keep chances of isolated/scattered snow showers in the forecast.  You read that correctly.

It gets worse… winds will howl out of the northwest at 15-30mph, making for blustery conditions for the second day of the work week.

Amen.

Wed – Sunny & Chilly – High 43˚ / Wed Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 32˚

High pressure will build in behind the disturbances on Wednesday, giving us rays of sunshine to soak in.  Don’t be deceived, folks, as temperatures will do all they can to reach the lower 40s.  The following GFS model loops every 6 hours from 1pm Tue afternoon through 7am Wed:

GFS Model Loop Valid 1pm Tue - 7am Wed
GFS Model Loop Valid 1pm Tue – 7am Wed

I don’t know about you, but I’d say these temperatures are becoming a real nuisance as of late.  Spring fever is setting in and I just can’t handle it.  The good news is that temperatures trends will be much warmer by the time we reach the weekend.

That’s all for now.  For more frequent info, stay in touch with @WarrenCountyWx & @WxOrNotBG on twitter.
