Pleasant Today, Humidity Returns Tomorrow

Tuesday: Partly sunny and nice today, friends.  We’ll see high pressure to our northeast keep a nice hold on our pattern here in south central Kentucky.  If you’re a fan of the outdoors, please get out and enjoy! 6am 64 | 12pm 78 | 4pm 81

Wednesday & Thursday: High pressure will work off of the east coast, filtering a warm, damp airmass over us from the southwest.  Weak disturbances in the upper atmosphere will coincide with this airmass to potentially fire off isolated – scattered areas of convection.  Temp values on both afternoons will range in the mid 80s, with overnight lows slipping to the mid 60s.  Humidity will not be our friend, as dewpoints will return to the upper 60s – lower 70s.

Friday: A cold front looks to advance across the region, with the current setup suggesting widespread thunderstorm development.  Latest models like the idea of an evening arrival of the front, with a possible squall lining out ahead of it.  I’ll await a few sets of data before completely ironing out the details, which will be tweaked upon the time of the event.  The precip model below shows the parent low well north of the Great Lakes, with precip lining out ahead of the cold front at 7pm Friday evening:

That’s it, gang.  I’ll be back this afternoon with another update on our forecast.  Have a great day, and thanks for relying on ~ Beech Tree Weather!
