Good morning, everyone! If you loved the temperatures we had yesterday, then you won’t love the rest of the work week, as temperatures will be below average. On the bright side, a quiet, dry trend is on the horizon.
Frost Poses Threat to Vegetation
As of now, the National Weather Service has the entire community of WABBLES under a Freeze Warning for today and a Freeze Watch for tomorrow. Frost will be a concern for both Thursday and Friday morning as temperatures linger in the freezing range. If you have plants outside, make sure you cover them ahead of time to keep them safe.
A Cool, Breezy Day Ahead
This morning, we will have showers moving out of the region, leaving a fair share of rainfall across the community. We can’t rule out a stray shower in the evening, but we don’t expect for the current precipitation totals to surge any higher than what they are now. Regardless, be cautious of slippery roads on your the morning commute.

There will be a steady wind of 15 to 20 miles per hour throughout the day, making for breezy conditions. However, we may have gusts reach over 30 miles per hour throughout the morning. As of 6 AM, current gusts are already in the upper 20’s for most of the community.
In comparison to conditions that we had yesterday, temperatures will be much cooler. Our high will only reach the lower 50’s in the afternoon and our low will fall to the upper 30’s in the nighttime. If you plan to be out and about today, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a jacket handy.
Dry Trend Sets In
For the rest of the work week, cloud cover will be minimal, but temperatures will remain below average. Moreover, we won’t have any chances of precipitation arise. This will be thanks to high pressure making its way into the Midwest.
