Good Monday morning, WABBLES! As quickly as the snow came, it’s gone again! Sunny weather yesterday really quickened the melting process and helped improve some of those still-covered backroads. Compared to last week, we can expect quite the difference in weather this week.
Clouds Linger from Overnight Showers
Last night we ended up with about 0.17″ of rain in the Bowling Green area according to the Kentucky Mesonet. This morning we are seeing those showers move out and drier conditions move in. We will start today on the cloudy side, but gradually clear off as high pressure takes over.
Thanks to that cold front, today’s temperatures will also be on the cool side once again. Highs are expected to only reach the mid 40’s, but at least it’s not the 20’s like last week! Lows look to also remain above freezing in the mid 30’s, so don’t worry about anything re-freezing.
Beautiful Midweek Weather
Come Tuesday, we are looking to return to some beautiful February weather! A high pressure along the Gulf Coast will extend its influence even into southern Kentucky. Clear skies return tomorrow, as do the milder temperatures; highs will return to the mid 50’s.
This great weather will continue into Wednesday with more sunny skies and highs near 60°! This actually isn’t too far off from the average for late February, which is 52°. Another brief disturbance looks to roll through Wednesday night which will knock our temps back down on Thursday, but we are expected to remain dry during the day.
That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Enjoy the beautiful weather this week!
