Soggy Week Ahead

Good morning WABBLES and happy Monday! Who is ready to start and endure the first workweek of February with me? Gosh, it’s already February!! What happened to January? The forecast is calling for a soggy week ahead of us.

Pleasant Monday

Waking up and heading out the door for your morning commute, you can expect mild temperatures. Might need a light coat as you head out the door. Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with temperatures in the middle-to-upper 40s to start out the day. Cloud coverage will be on the increase throughout the day as our next storm system begins to move closer to the region. High temperatures will rise up into the upper 60s, a few areas will hit 70 in WABBLES.

Rain, Rain, and More Rain

The first slug of moisture will move into the area during the overnight hours tonight and into the morning hours of Tuesday, associated with a deepening trough over the southwest US.

A cold front associated with the accompanying area of low pressure will slowly drape over the region, kicking off showers and thunderstorms throughout the day on Tuesday and into Wednesday.

Waves of moisture will move through the area along an approaching cold front. (Pivotal Weather)

The remainder of the workweek remains wet as the main area of low pressure moves through the region. Rainfall totals across the area will be anywhere in between 1-3 inches with locally higher amounts possible.
