Good morning folks and welcome to wxornotBG! The weekend is finally here, and I hope you’re enjoying it. After a dreary end to the work week, those overcast clouds and rain chances stick around for a chilly and damp Saturday.
Much Cooler than Normal
The cold front that’s responsible for these rain showers has passed over WABBLES, and it’s definitely noticeable. Remember when it was 60º on Thursday? It’ll be a chilly and damp day today as the high only reaches 48º. The normal for this time of November is around 57º.
Along with the cool temperatures, rain showers will be intruding the area. Rainy conditions will stick around this morning, and look to move out by lunchtime. We should see up to 0.25 inches of rain, but there is good news.
Luckily, rain showers will exit this afternoon. Clouds should stick around for most of the day, but will be decreasing as we work towards the nighttime hours. For tonight, conditions will include decreasing clouds and northwest winds 5-10 mph. Don’t forget a heavier coat if you have plans tonight. Temperatures will drop to around 34ºF.
Sunny Weather Returns
Beautiful sunshine returns tomorrow to end the weekend, and to start the new work week.
Sunday: Temperatures will be rather chilly under sunny skies. Highs should only reach around 51ºF for WABBLES. Quiet skies will be in place for the entire Ohio Valley and mid-Atlantic states. Skies remain clear overnight, with temperatures around 33ºF.
Monday: Skies remain quiet to start the work week. With beautiful sunshine to enjoy, temperatures will also reach normal highs for late November. Expect temperatures to reach 58ºF. Clouds begin to filter in after midnight Monday night (Tuesday morning).
Next Chance of Rain on Tuesday
Even though the current low pressure system will be exiting today, we are keeping eyes on the next possible system to come knocking on the door. Our next chance for rain showers looks to come on Tuesday.
That wraps up today’s forecast. Hope you have a great Saturday and rest of the weekend! Make sure to look for the Afternoon Video Update on Facebook and the Afternoon Weather Story on Twitter, only at @wxornotBG.
