Mostly Cloudy Weekend Book-ended By Showers

We’ve been through a generally cool but quiet week and, while it will remain cool, things will start to become unsettled as well. Get ready for a mostly cloudy weekend book-ended by showers.

And you definitely would be sliding if you dove headfirst into any patch of grass thanks to the ground’s easy slidey-ness (this is a scientific term, look it up) because of the showers around the area.

A low pressure system hanging around during the day today will keep us cloudy and give us the opportunity for scattered showers throughout the day. Best timing for the steadiest of rain will be during the morning hours before we dial it the meter to “scattered, but still annoying” for the afternoon.

Temperatures don’t look to move much during the day and will stay mostly in the lower-middle 50s during the day. Scattered showers begin to wane overnight, with lows still only around 45º.

Slightly Drier for Saturday

Saturday’s the dry day in the forecast, which is good for the all of the outdoor activities we’ve got going on…but we still can’t completely rule out a shower.

For the most part we’ll be in between systems which will keep things overcast and give us only a slight chance at a passing sprinkle.

Clouds may even try to break up later on in the day, especially towards the evening hours. We’ll top out around 55º or so for a high, before falling back to near 45º for a low once again.

Sunday Will Be the Opposite of Sunny

Another storm system will be making a run at us to finish the weekend and that means more rain chances for Sunday afternoon…and we’ll see a warm-up as well.

Temperatures will return to the mid-60s as we head through the afternoon with the aforementioned scattered showers. We should lose them by nightfall as we had for a low near 40º.
