Rain and Clouds Bring a Fall Feel to the Weekend

Good Saturday morning, folks! I hope everyone had a fantastic week this past week. We have a cold front that has pushed through and stalled to our south, and that means rain and clouds bring a fall feel to the weekend.

I am quite excited for the season. Thanksgiving is getting closer and closer. I can just smell the turkey!

Weatherwise, today will definitely feel like autumn. You may not prefer the impacts of today, but it will at least be nice and cool outside.

This is due to a nice cold front that pushed through the region and has now stalled across middle TN and far eastern KY. Atmospheric disturbances are expected to push through the region and create copious cloud cover and rainfall.

These are already present, so just expect the threat for rainfall to continue throughout today. Highs will max out in the lower 70s (71ºF-72ºF), creating amazing temperatures.

It is honestly the perfect day to just chill on the couch, have some apple cider, and watch a good slate of college football.

Soggy Sunday Coming Up

The stationary front to our south is not expect to move much by tomorrow, so just expect a similar weather pattern to be going on. Another disturbance will push through, and create more rainfall.

This is one of the rainier weekends that we have had in quite a long time, which is a plus because we haven’t had too much rain as of late. It also keeps the temperatures down!

But, pretty much a carbon copy of Saturday. By the end of this whole rain event, we are expecting upwards of 3″ of rainfall across the region.

Highs on Sunday will be in the lower 70s again (72ºF-73ºF).

Monday Warms Back Up

That subheading probably freaks some Autumn lovers out, but don’t worry. Highs will not be too warm. The sunshine will return, and will help us to get warmer.

Expect partly sunny skies across the region, with highs rising into the lower 80s (81ºF-83ºF). Scattered showers and storms are expected across the region during the afternoon, but it won’t be a washout like today and Sunday.

By Tuesday, another strong cold front is forecast to approach the region this afternoon and evening, and will bring with it a chance for strong storms.

Highs on Tuesday will be quite warm, back into the mid 80s and breezy. Beyond that, we may get a nice cold shot to really push us into the Fall territory, but the models have backed up a bit on the overall coolness lately.

Well, that is all I have for you folks! Have a great day, and be sure to follow @wxornotBG on Twitter for the latest details.
