Good Sunday morning everyone! My Saturday was awesome and I hope yours was too. The dreary start to fall continues across the region on this Sunday, making for perfect resting weather before a new week.
More Rain to Start the New Week
This psuedo-front is still hanging around the region just to our south, and disturbances in the atmosphere continue to roll right along it and produce rainfall across the region.
We have had plenty of it at this point, but it has been a nice soaking considering it had been a while since we had seen one like this. The soaking will continue over the next couple of days, and it will help to keep us nice and cool!
Highs today and Monday will be very similar to Saturday, with highs in the upper 60s today (69ºF-70ºF) and lower 70s on Monday (72ºF-73ºF).
Rain won’t be as widespread on Monday either, but expect a solid coverage across the region. Most will see rain much of the day today, and a good bit of the day on Monday.
As a side note, with all of this rain, be sure to be on the look out for flooding. If you come across a flooded roadway, don’t cross it!
Tuesday Turns it Around
Well, as the front that has been plaguing us for a couple of days now moves northward, it will weaken and kinda become part of the larger scale system approaching on Tuesday.
The rainfall threat should persist into early Tuesday morning, but it looks like the greatest concentration of showers/storms will push out by mid morning on Tuesday, allowing the sun to break out.
South to southwesterly winds will develop, and bring with them a nice uptick in temperatures for Tuesday afternoon. Because we’ll see partly cloudy skies develop, expect highs in the mid 80s (84ºF-85ºF).
The cold front will approach by Tuesday evening and night, bringing with it another chance of showers and storms. Some of these storms could be strong, but I’m not buying the threat too much. We’ll watch it, though.
By Wednesday, the cold front will be pushing through, and ushering in a very nice fall feel to the air for a couple of days. Expect highs in the lower 70s on Wednesday and Thursday.
