A week of ups and downs weatherwise will end on a high note as sunny skies dominate the forecast as the weekend begins. But, this nice weekend to end with Sunday showers.

Fantastic Friday

Man, Ma Nature saved the best for last as this workweek is going out on a nearly picture perfect note.

Looks like Oprah read ahead. (Giphy)

We’ve got a high pressure center located just to the northwest of the area, giving us pleasant northeasterly winds that will keep temperatures at least closer to average for this time of year. After some frost in the morning, the full sunshine will get us up around 65º, which is better than the weather that kept us in hoodies yesterday.

Without the clouds, we’ll cool nicely at night but not as cold as the past few nights. Winds will ease a touch and we’ll fall back to around 40º for a low.

Rinse and Repeat for Saturday

Average called and it’s finally going to show up for Saturday and that means a terrific day!

The high pressure will start to scoot off to the east, allowing our next disturbance to start to creep into the picture. Before the clouds arrive, though, we’ll see temperatures get back to near seasonal levels! 70º temperatures will once again grace the area with their presence, to much rejoicing.

Things begin to change tomorrow night, however, as a small disturbance begins to enter stage left.

Here it comes. (WPC)

Clouds will begin to overspread the region late tomorrow evening into tomorrow night ahead of a few showers. This will keep lows in check, only falling to around the 50º mark with mostly cloudy skies.

Sunday’s Scattered Showers

The main component of this weather system will scoot to our south and east but there will be enough moisture there that scattered showers will be with us during the daytime hours on Sunday.

Could be worse. (MLB Advanced Media)

With the clouds and showers in place, we’ll keep highs down a little bit, only around 65º for our Sunday afternoon. Temperatures will slink back down to around 50º as the clouds and showers stick around for the nighttime hours as we head into Monday.

That just about does it for me! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotbg for the latest. Have a terrific Friday!
