Good morning, folks! Hope everyone is doing well today. We’re waking up to a beautiful and sunny day, and that should last through the day. Southern KY is looking at a beautiful Saturday, with rain expected Sunday.
Beautiful Day for Some Spring Football
Folks, it is gonna be an amazing day for the WKU football spring game.
They have had their spring practices in one of the cooler springs in recent memory, so this is a well-deserved reward for that hard work. Go Tops!
We are expecting plentiful sunshine, with some high clouds present. Winds will be light from the east, and temperatures will be in the lower 70s.
If you don’t have plans today, you may as well head on out there and enjoy a nice afternoon of football! Clouds increase tonight ahead of our next weather maker, and hold lows in the lower 50s.
Rainy Sunday
Clouds will be plentiful on Sunday, with rain increasing by late morning on Sunday. These won’t be too heavy, but it will make for a bit of a ‘bleh’ day across the region.
Additionally, the low pressure system will be relatively close to our region, helping to create some breezy conditions. Expect 10-20 mph winds tomorrow, as well.
Highs won’t be too impressive. Expect upper 50s, and maybe 60ºF across the region. Its gonna be one of those days where it is just best to hang out inside and chill.
Weird Weather Monday
Monday is looking pretty odd. The models can’t really make up their mind on what to do with this low pressure system and its placement by Monday afternoon.
Because of this, temperatures are difficult to nail down for Monday afternoon. I am confident in precipitation falling Monday morning and early afternoon, which should keep us from seeing temps rise too much.
The models are indicating both mid 60s and mid 50s on Monday, all based on where we sit with respect to the low. I am hesitant to go with either extreme, and lean towards lower 60s on Monday for highs.
Expect clouds to stick around as well. If we get to the southeast of the low on Monday, we’ll see broken clouds.
Have a great day folks! Be sure to follow our real-time weather feed, @wxornotBG!
