Chilly, Windy, and Some Rain/Snow?
Temperatures have dropped into the mid 40s this morning under cloudy skies. Temperatures will continue to drop to around 40°, where we should steady out for most of the day. A few light showers are possible this afternoon. A few snowflakes could mix in from time to time. Winds will be stout out of the west, around 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph possible.
We should dip back below freezing overnight as temperatures drop back into the upper 20s. Mostly cloudy skies are expected.
And Now Just Chilly…
Another chilly day is forecast Wednesday as high pressure moves closer to the region. High pressure should diminish cloud cover to partly cloudy and calm winds. However, temperatures will still top out in the low 40s.
Temperatures Wednesday night will be about the same as tonight, dropping into the upper 20s once again. We’ll be under mostly clear skies though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if some folks get into the mid 20s as well.
Warmth Returns
High pressure will slide to the southeast of the region on Thursday. This will lead to the development of some southerly surface winds, which will help warm things up. We should warm into the low 50s under partly cloudy skies.
Despite southerly winds, temperatures are still expected to drop some on Thursday night. We should drop back into the low to mid 30s under mostly clear skies.
That should wrap up this forecast! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out our live weather Twitter feed @wxornotBG and Landon Hampton on Facebook. Have a great day!
