Cold Tonight; Milder to End Week

The flurries lasted a bit longer than anticipated today. Although we expected the flurries to last through much of the morning, it continued to snow into the early afternoon hours. Classic Bowling Green weather frustrations. It has since come to a stop…finally.

Cold temperatures await us overnight. Lows will once again drop into the single digits under mostly clear skies, so be sure to let the faucet drip and bring those pets inside. The wind will turn out of the southwest after midnight as high pressure moves south of the region.

This light southwest surface flow sets the stage for warmer temperatures Thursday. We should warm all the way to slightly above freezing by afternoon. This will begin to help melt away the snowpack across the area.

Milder conditions are forecast the rest of the week and into the weekend. Rain chances may accompany warm temperatures Saturday and Sunday. A few thunderstorms may even be possible Sunday night. More about that in the morning forecast update!
