The Headline
After seeing a stormy overnight, things look to dry out for the better part of your Monday. With the being said rain chances will return to the forecast sooner rather than later.
The Forecast
Since seeing our showers overnight, we have cooled off considerably. Our highs for today will struggle to reach the 60 degree mark for most.
Our skies will remain mostly cloudy today with northwesterly flow helping to usher in cooler air throughout today. Has anyone gotten used to our roller-coaster temperature trends yet?
Heading into tonight our rain chances return, unfortunately. A surface boundary will stall out over the northern Tennessee Valley as an area of low pressure slides across the frontal boundary. What does this mean for us? Another wave of moderate to heavy showers and even a thunderstorm or two won’t be entirely unheard of.
For Tuesday, we will likely see some scattered off/on shower activity throughout the day. By tomorrow afternoon, any left over rain will gradually taper off into overnight tomorrow. Moral of the story, another cool and soggy afternoon.
By Wednesday, things will continue to dry out and cool off quite a bit as high pressure begins to build in from the northwest. Temperatures will only top out in the mid 50s, which definitely feels much more like November to me.
The Forecast
Today: Mostly cloudy and cooler. High near 60°F. Overnight, expect showers and a few thunderstorms. Low near 55°F.
Tomorrow: Isolated AM shower before drying out. Mostly cloudy skies with a high near 59°F. Overnight, mostly cloudy skies with lows near 45°F.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with highs near 55°F. Overnight, cooling off to lows near 40°F under mostly cloudy skies.
