A rinse and repeat forecast with be on tap today. Expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies to develop in the afternoon with pop-up showers and storms.

Highs should once again reach the 90s, as the high is expect to be around 91°. It will once again be nice and humid. Yay.

Showers and storms should depart by evening. Lows will drop into the low to mid 70s as conditions become partly cloudy.

Thursday – Partly Cloudy & Isolated Storms – High 89° / Thurs Night – Scattered Storms – Low 75°

A shortwave trough will move through the region on Thursday. This may prompt a few isolated showers and thunderstorms throughout the day as highs reach toward that 90° mark. You can see the pronounced shortwave over western Kentucky below.

The main story may be Thursday evening and into the overnight. A complex of thunderstorms should move through the region.

With such a strong convective signal, as well as moderate to high instability, severe weather is a concern. A few damaging wind gust is the main threat. Torrential rainfall and vivid lightning will also be possible.

With rain and cloud cover over the region, lows look to remain mild in the mid 70s.

Friday – Isolated Showers and Storms – High 83° / Fri Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 63°

A cold front will move through the region on Friday. This will prompt a few showers and storms in the morning.

However, expect partly cloudy skies to develop in the afternoon with a few isolated showers still possible. Highs will top out around 83°. Can’t complain at all about that.
