The Headline
There could be a couple of headlines for you to take out of this summer forecast. We have storms on Thursday, more summer heat tomorrow, and then a major cool down on the way.

You can take your pick, but my headline is the storms leading to the cool down.
Today’s weather is weird; we are looking at a weak cold/stationary front moving slowly southward that may set up right across our area. To the north, cooler weather. To the south, much warmer and more humid weather.
I think we stay below 90°F today (HALLELUJAH) but not by much. We may see an isolated storm, but nothing widespread.
Tomorrow looks hot and humid again, with upper 60s and lower 70s dewpoints returning and lower 90s for highs. Take similar precautions to last week if you have to be outside; you know the drill.
Thursday looks interesting. The basics are that a disturbance will quickly move southeastward through the Ohio Valley, forcing a surface low and associated cold front as well.
This will definitely be a shower and storm producer, but for how long on Thursday? Most models are indicating rainfall and clouds early in the day, with the possibility for clearing thereafter in the afternoon.
If we get some clearing in the afternoon (looks like a good possibility), we should see the threat for severe weather develop. The low pressure will be close to the region, and the disturbance will be sharp, creating plenty of lift. Damaging winds and hail would be the highest threats.
After that cold front? Temps drop it like its hot (because it was). We should see temps in the low and mid 80s heading into the weekend.
The Forecast
Today: Partly cloudy, with isolated storms. Highs around 89°F. Overnight, look for partly cloudy skies, with lows around 72°F.
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy and hot. Highs around 91°F. Overnight, look for partly cloudy skies, with lows around 74°F.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with scattered showers and storms. Some could be strong to severe. Highs around 88°F. Overnight, look for showers/storms to give way to gradual clearing. Lows around 69°F.
The Decisions
Like most of last week, take similar precaution (especially tomorrow) when going outside. It will still be pretty humid the next couple of days, so it will feel a lot hotter than it actually is. This applies for any sporting activity, whether it be running, baseball practice, etc. In addition, be sure to take similar precaution even when mowing or doing lawn work.
By Thursday, be weather aware. We’ll know more about our severe weather threat this evening and tomorrow, but I think it looks like our best threat for organized severe weather in quite sometime. Expect rain delays or game cancellations, and the fairview plaza to probably flood.
And what should you plan for this weekend? ANYTHING that involves being outside. It is gonna be amazing, so go enjoy it and plan for it now!
