Well, as you’re waking up and starting your workday off, we are experiencing some heavy rainfall. The combination of an approaching disturbance from the north and a weak mid-level low across Texas pushing moisture into the region has become one of very heavy rainfall. We are under a Flash Flood Watch until 10 am this morning.
More heavy rainfall is moving in as I speak, and should train over the area for a bit this morning. So, until further notice, just simply avoid the Fairview Plaza. We all know what happens there when it rains.

This will be the dominating factor in the weather today, holding temperatures low throughout the day and giving us a nice helping of rainfall. The HRRR shows us getting up to 2″ more of rain this morning.
Anticipate highs that end up in the low to mid 70s this afternoon, and it shouldn’t get much higher than that.
Today: Mostly cloudy, with heavy rainfall this morning. Expect skies to become partly sunny this afternoon. Highs only around 76°F. Tonight, look for clouds clear, with lows falling to around 64°F.

Tomorrow and Wednesday look much better than today, as the cold front will finally have moved through and we’ll be under the influence of a strong mid-level low to our northeast. While weak disturbances may move around the mid-level low, we should be in the clear of precipitation for the rest of the forecast after this afternoon.
Expect partly cloudy skies tomorrow, with seasonably cool conditions across the region. Wednesday looks to have more clouds, so expect partly sunny skies and maybe an isolated shower or two. Look for highs on both days in the mid 70s, with Wednesday being the cooler day.
