Forecast Discussion

Overall, some pretty great weather is in store for the rest of the workweek! Today will bring warm and calm conditions to the region thanks to high pressure. High pressure began settling back into the region yesterday after the passage of the cold front. Expect mostly sunny to sunny skies today and a high around 68°!

The surge of warmth will continue on Thursday. Surface flow will be out of the south, which will bring some nice, warm air into the region. Once again, expect mostly sunny skies with a high climbing into the low 70s across the area! Can’t complain about that!

A disturbance will move through the region overnight on Thursday. There will be some instability to work with, which may yield some showers and thunderstorms. However, severe weather is not expected at this time. Lows will drop only to around 50°.

Highs will likely remain in the mid 50s before taking a nosedive into the upper 20s to low 30s overnight. I guess this Friday is good enough…

If the current scenario pans out, this would have major impacts to travel Saturday night and Sunday. However, this is still several days out and nothing is set in stone. It is just something we’re watching. I mean, Kentucky gonna Kentucky…
