Discussion

A cold front pushed through the region this morning, leaving cold air to infiltrate the area behind it. Westerly winds look to keep our temperatures in the upper 30’s or lower 40’s for today. Some of us may see some isolated snow flurries, but don’t panic. These snow flurries would be exactly that, just flurries.

For tonight into tomorrow, a broad upper level trough will establish itself over the eastern portion of the U.S. Weak disturbances look to move through this flow, leading to isolated shower chances. Winds will remain blustery across the area, so tie down your clothes!

As far as temperatures go for today and tomorrow, they pretty much look identical with highs in the upper 30’s/lower 40’s and lows right around 30 degrees.

Saturday looks to be a pleasant, boring sort of day. Highs will be in the mid-ish 40’s under mostly sunny skies with overnight lows still right around the 30 degree mark.  The second half of the weekend introduces another chance at some snow flurries/wintry mix, but these flurries would be light.

The Main Points

  • Cold today and windy
  • Cold tomorrow and windy
  • Slightly warmer Saturday and boring
  • Possibility of light snow flurries on Sunday
